Welcome to the photo gallery of our trip to my wife Vera's home in Natal, Brazil. We had a great time, and we hope you enjoy the photos!
The first thing I wanted to do was to meet Vera's parents. Here they are: my father-in-law, Senhor Raimundo, and my mother-in-law, Senhora Francisca Marques
The Three Musketeers of Novo Horizonte! From left to right: our nephew Maxuel, our niece Maciele, and our nephew Hugo (pronounced oo-go) AKA Tagarela (the talkative one).
A nice dinner at Ponta Negra was the perfect place for us to relax with our niece Glaucia (on the far left) and Vera's sister Veridiana (below). Glaucia is studying to become a biologist, and Veridiana is the mother of Hugo.
I met so many people in Brazil, I'm surprised I remember all the names! Here is my oldest brother-in-law Nilson (on the left) AKA Prince Adam, my niece Gildemara, and her brother Deston.
The Three Musketeers strike again! They wanted to be in the picture with my brother-in-law Maciel, who is the father of Maciele and Maxuel.
Vera is planning the establishment of a new business with Leandra, the mother of our nieces Marta (center) and Micaela (on the right).
In Potengi, the northern suburb of Natal, carts drawn by horses, mules, and donkeys are still very commom. I couldn't resist taking a photo of this cute donkey.
The tide has gone out and the sand dunes are hot at Genipabu, a gorgeous beach at the northern end of Potengi.
We are very proud of our 20-year-old niece Glaucia, an aspiring biologist. Glaucia will be the first of our nephews and nieces to graduate from college.
Beachcombing is hungry work! It's time for a seafood dinner at Genipabu's Bar 21 Restaraunt.
A tropical princess, our niece and adopted daughter Maciele.
Ahhh, some quiet time at last! A laid-back private musical muse. What should we do next today? Maybe....
Lunch on the beach! Crab soup, roasted fish with fries and macaxeira, and chilled coconut milk.
Ah, a walk on the beach after lunch, with the warm ocean wind blowing through my hair!
Here's a little....uh, inspiration....courtesy of Mrs. Bishop. That kind of inspiration will keep me performing for a long time!
An impromptu performance in the shade of a palm tree.
Vera loves to shop! The Alecrim Market in Natal is a good place to find all kinds of things, including....
Very cute little kittys, like this one who took a liking to Douglas.
Shopping is hard work! It's time for a massage and pedicure!
A family photo (except without most of the family)!
